Welcome to our project of opening a private bilingual school with Christian values.
Our role is to provide education following the official curriculum and school objectives, supported by a caring pedagogy and Christian values.
Several activities are offered throughout the year, designed to increase children’s knowledge.
We want each child to progress at his/her own pace, both learning and understanding the world around him/her.
Each class is limited to a maximum of 8 children.
From opening to closing, children are welcomed in a pleasant and open environment. We offer constructive childcare.
Art and music classes are part of the curriculum. They play an awakening role and contribute actively to the development of children’s self-expression.
We want to teach children how to eat a healthy and varied diet, because health is also about nutrition.
At Stella, we place great emphasis on the well-being and development of each child in their education.
As a Protestant Christian school we use the teachings of the Bible as a solid basis for our pedagogy.
We want the children to be taught in a pleasant and friendly environment.
Each child is accompanied in a an individual way while respecting his or her personality and rhythm.

All meals are homemade. They are prepared each morning in our kitchen. We offer seasonal fruits, yoghurts, water and a variety of hot meals.
Each lesson is given by cycle un one language only. Children may have a mathematics activity in “French” and then art activity in “English”.
We strongly encourage outdoor activities. Whenever the weather is favorable, some classes are given outside (garden, terrace, parc, etc.).
Our team consists of six teacher, a secretary and a cook who prepares our hot meals.
During the year children meet other people who are invited (retired teachers, occasional guest teachers, etc.).
Classes are divided into cycles. This means that children of different age are grouped together (3-4 yo/ 5-7 yo / 8-11 yo).
This allows the children to help each other and to work together. The older children deepen their knowledge by helping the younger ones. The younger children can also learn by watching the older ones.
We teach the Belgian curriculum. At the end of their education at Stella, the pupils will have to pass a basic study certificate (CEB) which is the exam organized by the French community.

We would be delight to discuss the project in more details with you and give you a tour of property.
In a response to society’s promotion of individualism and neo-liberalism, as Christians one of our strongest answers is a Christian education.
At Stella we emphasise Christian values such as love, gratitude, respect for God and others. We want children to be aware of who God is and who they are. In this way they learn to consider others and all of God’s creation and to trust themselves.
Based on the teachings of the Bible, we want every child to be seen as the most beautiful creation in the image of the Creator God.
We accompany and encourage the children instead of making them compete against each other. We emphasise perseverance and rigour in learning in order to teach them to excel.
In the Christian faith we find many values that we want to bring to our school: respect, love, perseverance, forgiveness, mutual help, joy, honesty, etc.
At Stella we believe in all that the Bible teaches and we want to share it with the next generation.
Stella comes from the Latin word “stella” which translates as “star”.
The star symbolizes the mysteries of the universe, and represents the sky and the night. It fights against the darkeness and illuminates the night, symbolizing truth and the link between God and man.
This passage in the Bible inspired us – John 8:12:
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said: I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
An active learning pedagogy means that students are active in their own learning and the classroom becomes a problem solving environment rather than one-way delivery or teacher-centered environment.
It encourages the pupils’ autonomy and allows them to learn from their environment and thus to grow in knowledge un a more conscious way.
It is recognized that this pedagogy increases the pupils’ motivation because il allows them to learn at their own pace thought activities that interest them. They can participate in the development of the lesson while being accompanied by their teacher.
In short, this type of pedagogy helps to create more confident, curious and motivated children.
If your child is over 3 years and under 11 years old, then he or she is welcome at Stella.
